Workshop description: This one day class is fast
paced and meant to review the fundamental elements of color usage. We will
work with a color wheel, color samples and basic paints. Understanding color
relationships improves your ability to choose and mix colors in both dyes
and paints. Color combinations can make or break your work. Learn how to
make educated color choices. Limited to 20 students
Instructor bio: Jane Dunnewold works in mixed media, with an emphasis
on printing and dyeing cloth. A length of her art cloth won second prize in
the yardage show at the 2006 Convergence conference sponsored by the HGA.
Her cloth and art quilts have won other awards in the USA and abroad.
Dunnewold recently served as a juror for the Visions art quilt exhibition in
San Diego, California and also juried Never Static, an art cloth exhibition
at the Textile Center of Minnesota. She travels and teaches widely, and has
written and produced numerous books and educational CD's and DVD's.
She maintains Art Cloth Studios in San Antonio, Texas.
