The Beauty of Wool:
Paint, Print, and Immersion Dye

Carol LeBaron

Workshop description: We will cover printing, immersion dyeing, and resist techniques on wool and silk.  You will learn the fundamentals of dyeing and printing protein fibers, which adapt very well to shaping.  We will also cover textural effects such as shaping and laminated felt techniques, as well as felt resist.  We will work with purchased wool fabric as well as simple open plain weave fabrics that you may prepare ahead if you are a weaver..
