Batik/Tjanting Tools
 Traditional Batik is an ancient form of resist dyeing.  Hot wax penetrates the cloth
preventing dye from spreading to those areas. 
Designs may involve many or only one color depending upon the number of times the hot wax
is applied and the cloth is dipped into different colored dye baths.

  Fuchsia 308, and Brightest Blue 404; 75 gm PRO Dye Activator, 100gm Urea, 1 ounce Synthrapol,  2 ounces

PREMIUM WAXES
 Safety Tip: Overheating wax can cause harmful vapors and a potential fire hazard, Please use caution when melting.
 
Paraffin Wax:  True petroleum wax traditionally used as a resist in batik dyeing. We offer it in granular form for easy handling. No blocks to break up. Melting point is 135° to 145°
Microcrystalline Wax:  A synthetic beeswax . Petroleum based, microcrystalline is used like bees wax to soften paraffin wax for better adhesion to the fabric and less crackle. Also called sticky wax. May be used alone for no crackle design.  Microcrystalline wax comes in 1 lb blocks. Melting point is 160° to 170°.
Batik Wax:  For those who like the convenience and consistency of a mix in granular form, this is a popular blend of 75% paraffin and 25% microcrystalline wax. Melting point is 150° F.
Beeswax:  Yellow colored, purified natural beeswax. We now sell all sizes in granular form. Block form is also available in 1lb blocks and larger. Melting point is 130° F.

        TJANTING TOOLS 
The Tjanting (wax pen) is a drawing tool and provides a continuous flow of hot wax. 
They are made in our facility in the U.S.A

Tjanting Brush: Designed by Stephen Blumrich.  Brass with hard wood handle, makes wax pattern 1/2 inch to 3/4 wide.

Electric Tjanting: Built in heating element automatically melts wax.   Packaged with medium spouted bowl.  Additional spouted bowls available (see below).  Incredibly easy to use, just tilt the spout down to draw and lift it up to    stop the flow. ETJ  $59.95
