PRO Marbo Gum

Please read directions carefully before starting.

PRO Marbo Gum is a sea weed derivative marbling base, similar to carrageenan, but much easier to work with. This recipe makes 1 gallon of marbling base. It is important to sample before working on large projects. For additional information, visit our web site at www.prochemical.com

  • Wear rubber gloves, apron or old clothes.

  • Utensils used for dyeing should not be used for food preparation.

    Procedure

    1. Measure 2 Tablespoons (24 gm) of Marbo Gum in a small dry container.

    2. Measure 1 gallon (4 liters) of warm 110oF (44oC) water into another container. Slowly sprinkle the Marbo Gum into the water while stirring rapidly. Continue stirring until a smooth mixture is obtained. Let stand overnight for the smoothest results. Unused Marbo Gum should be kept in a closed container. Prepared Marbo Gum can be stored up to four weeks without refrigeration.
